WASH - Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene

THE ISSUE

In Africa, millions still lack these essential services, leading to preventable diseases, economic burdens, and stunted growth in many communities.

At the African Center for Policy and Advocacy, we believe that access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene is a fundamental human right. By working with communities, governments, and partners, we are making strides toward a healthier, more sustainable future for all Africans. Since 2020, ACPA has advocated for every citizen’s right and access to safe water.
Menstruation should not be taboo. The African Center for Policy and Advocacy aims to support vulnerable children in hygiene, health, and education. Support is urgent and immediate in various places, including the construction of sanitation facilities and menstrual hygiene education. Your prompt action can make a significant difference.

We provided drinking buckets to local school students and staff and educational tips on preserving water, among other things.
We mobilized communities, including youth and women facing water challenges, stressed the significance of clean water access, and offered practical tips on water purification. We mobilized the local community to clean up the water catchment site and encouraged them to continue implementing these WASH practices in their lives.
