ACPA

ABOUT US

The African Center for Policy and Advocacy (ACPA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing good governance, democracy, public health, education, and environmental sustainability across Africa. We believe lasting change comes from empowered communities, evidence-based policies, and accountable governance.

What we do

At ACPA, we address governance issues, strengthen democratic institutions, and address key factors affecting health, education, and well-being. Through innovative community-based initiatives and strategic policy interventions, we advocate for climate adaptation policies and sustainable development, ensuring that vulnerable populations—especially women, youth, and marginalized groups—have equitable access to opportunities and essential services.

How we do it

Our interventions focus on:
We provide access to education, safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene, thereby improving the quality of life for disadvantaged groups.
We promote transparency, accountability, and inclusive decision-making, thereby strengthening governance frameworks that support equitable development.

We address the social and commercial determinants of health, advocate for climate resilience, and utilise digital tools to disseminate accurate health and climate-related information.

We drive systemic change through strategic policy advocacy, public education, and digital campaigns, mobilising citizens to engage in governance and demand accountability.
We champion evidence-based policy solutions that promote sustainable development, climate resilience, and stronger governance structures by fostering multi-sectoral collaboration, raising awareness, and building institutional capacity.
