The African Center for Policy and Advocacy (ACPA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization promoting a healthier, more educated, and environmentally sustainable Africa. ACPA employs innovative community-level and policy change interventions to tackle the various factors influencing people’s health and well-being, promote inclusive education, and support climate adaptation efforts.
ACPA’s community-level interventions are designed to create a transformative impact on disadvantaged groups.
These efforts ensure essential services such as education, safe drinking water, proper sanitation, and hygiene are accessible to all. At the core of ACPA’s community-level interventions lies the dissemination of accurate health and climate-related information, primarily through online tools and technologies.
ACPA’s policy change initiatives are based on
- Structural interventions
- Including policy engagement,
- Public education, raising awareness through digital campaigns, and
- Empowering vulnerable groups, especially women and young people, to participate actively in climate action initiatives.
- Addressing the social and commercial determinants of health will also be a central focus of our policy change interventions.
