We have seen that many school-age children, particularly young girls, cannot attend or remain in school due to financial difficulties, gender inequality, and child marriages. To address this, we offer scholarships targeted explicitly at school-age children from underprivileged communi-ties, focusing on empowering young girls in STEM and digitization. These scholarships are designed to alleviate the financial burden of education, allowing students to concentrate on their studies without the constant worry of costs. Our scholarship program is both need- and merit-based, providing comprehensive support that includes meals at school, tutoring, and necessary school supplies.
To further enhance student retention, particularly among girls, ACPA invests in constructing or refurbishing schools with essential facilities. This includes access to clean water through drink-ing stations and proper hygiene and sanitation facilities such as toilets and hand-washing sta-tions.
We also actively collaborate with local and national education authorities and other organiza-tions to influence policies that support the continuous development and upkeep of these facili-ties in schools within underprivileged communities. Additionally, we partner with national au-thorities to develop strategies integrating health and climate literacy into school curricula, ensur-ing students have the knowledge they need to thrive in a changing world.
